I get home from lanning this weekend and I find out something screwy going on with my internet anytime I try to login a site using internet explorer it takes me to Page can not be displayed, and there are others on my network who are not having this issue. So I check in firefox and it will let me log in fine on it. Also Yahoo messanger wont let me login either. I cleared my cookies and internet files cleared history and ran adaware se only to find a few tracking cookies nothing big. Check my processes running and nothing out of the ordinary i'm really stuck on this one.

dont use ie. plain and simple.


use ie tab for firefox if you need like windows updates and stuff.

Its more then Internet explorer read the whole post.

Edit: The lan party only consisted of me and some friends, and don't really have any virus protection never needed any.

i did. i dont know why yim would do it to. try using gaim and see if it will let you log in. you might just have a rootkit or somthing. ya never know. what are you using for virus protection? the people that go to lans can be snots when it comes to screwing your box.

Sounds like a browser hijack perhaps. Run the below program o see if tehre is browser hijack. I also reccomend scanning your whole pc with antivirus and anti-spyware programs.
