Default Validate Windows

I have a legitimate copy of windows xp but i cannot get validated. By chance i found a way around it and was able to get validated but I herd that microsoft has already fixed it. Im planning on reformatting and was wondering if there is a way to copy the file that tells microsoft update.com that im already validated and just insert it into system32 after I Reinstall windows ?

Don't tell people that you don't have a legitimate copy or not using one. It's a bad thing to do. Anyways, why would u need to update? You don't have the lastest version?
