Default Acer Recovery Disk sucks
I have an Acer t135 which came with a system recovery disk instead of a regular Windows disk, but I cant do a Recovery install I have to rformat the drive plus it adds E-consol and other crap I dont want so I have two Q
  • what files are included in the reg XP Home disc that I need to copy
  • how do I recover the serial from the registry on the disk, theres a lot of things that look like they could be it you know lol

1) To reformat & install, you just need to backup files you need (bussness docments, etc)

2)The serial should be provided on the manuel, piece of paper, or the back of the pc (look for the Windows Label).

As said the serial for that OS CD should be a sticker on the side of your case or in a manual.
