Kind of unusual question. say you save an image of your OS (using Acronis True Image) before Activation. When the image is restored, will the Number of days before required Activation go back to what it was when you saved the image?

Thanks for the reply. The reason I asked, is that the OEM XPpro is sometimes a pain if you make any hardware change. I am using a temporary CPU and would just as soon avoid the phone-in reactivation.

A cpu change shouldnt require further activation however as you are making an image you will have to.

the only problem with an OEM License is if you change your mobo. the OEM license applies to one and only one computer (which is defined by a mobo according to M$)
