Default Windows issues..Wheres my programs.?
Hey there again people. Well for some reason my ''All programs'' list wont come up anymore lol...Havent a clue why...im hoping Norton Goback will help me however have you got any advice before i do this. I dont know whats going on ?.

Try a restore. Worked for me when it happened to me. Start > Control Panel > System > Restoration tab.

Well i have to use Norton Goback lol. I disable system restore you see. Il also try SFC /SCANNOW.

Your computer must be infected, you should unplugg you're internet cable, run in safe mode, scan with your anti-virus (if you have norton, i suggest Avast, it's better), ad aware and spybot to make sure it's clean.

Well i just did a Norton goback and my problem is still there...darn ill update you once i have exhausted everything...I may need to do a repair install. Not the repair console but repair.

Try removing norton utilities including go back, I've seen it mess up entire computers at work, causing the desktop to disappear etc. The windows restore thing works better. Also if you have a hd with norton go back on it, it makes it impossible to get anything off that drive if you move it to a different computer, as go back hides the contents of the drive.

Hey ENTERPRISE1701, try switch the Start menu to Classic Start Menu and reswitch it to XP start menu again. You do this by going Control Panel > Start Menu.

Well none of the above worked...I knew it wouldnt anyway lol. Thanks anyway shajbot. However i did a repair and its back and i was able to keep all my stuff which is great. Its still unexplained why my pc went mad..my symptoms where.

1.No programs list
2. Windows update didnt work.
3. Webcam wasnt detected.
4. Wouldnt let me access my email.

Well im just glad everything is now sorted.
