Default Vista vs. Tiger

Windows has always lagged when its came against its biggest competitor, Apple. With the introduction of Vista will it finally show up Apple's Tiger OX? I've been doing research and it seems like it will be slightly better (of course, its Windows), but the cost is compromisable by Apple being only slightly more expensive. Will the introduction of Vista turn an average pc into a competitor of the G5?

Possibly so. Some good things seem to be coming from Apple, lately.

But, Apple won't be able to take away the program support that Windows does. Never. Windows will always have the high percentage of PC users hooked: simply because, it's what we've grown up with, right?

Windows never has and never will hold a candle to Apple's OS, however I have always been partial to Linux based OS mainly for their incredibly light impact on system resources and the fact that they are free and open source.
