Default XP pro password recovery?

I found and old fujitsu-siemens laptop(PIII), but it has a password on th admin account, and I have no idea what could the password be. Is there any way to retrieve/reset it?

Boot into safe mode and see if the administrator account has a password, many people fail to put a password on it, boot into that and run cain & abel to get the password. I think you can also do a windows repair install to keep all the files and make a new windows account.

actually I think you can start in safe mode and enter windows then enter user acounts and remove the password

Many people do not put a password on the administrator account which most people leave enabled. Unless these people did not want someone getting into their computer the account is probably there and lacks a password.

What im saying is if it is passworded going into safe mode and creating account will only give you partial acces. You wont gain anything from the admins side.
