XP pro password recovery?

I found and old fujitsu-siemens laptop(PIII), but it has a password on th admin account, and I have no idea what could the password be. Is there any way to retrieve/reset it?

you can format it... save the docs and reinstall XP...

but I want to know what on there..... and How can save the docs after I format it?!?!? And dont have an XP cd here so, that is not an option.

Boot into safe mode and see if the administrator account has a password, many people fail to put a password on it, boot into that and run cain & abel to get the password. I think you can also do a windows repair install to keep all the files and make a new windows account.

actually I think you can start in safe mode and enter windows then enter user acounts and remove the password

What im saying is if it is passworded going into safe mode and creating account will only give you partial acces. You wont gain anything from the admins side.

forgot to say, it was my old laptop, and I was smarth enough to put a admin password(smart huh? *****). I am looking in the link enterprise posted above.
