windows only boots when it wants to
I often get to the splash screen, it it just sits there and won't complete the boot cycle. I then have to reboot, and hope for the best. Sometimes I have to reboot up to ten times before it finally makes it to Windows.
__________________I've tried everything I know to do, including unplugging anything in a USB port, taking a video card out, removing all PCI cards, reinstalling Windows, registry scans, and haven't had any luck so far. It's really getting on my nerves, because other than that, the computer performs amazingly. Any suggestions?

did you do a "fix mbr" from the recovery CD?. . . you master boot record doesnt change when you reinstall windows. . or not completly. . thats why you get the "choose which OS" screen if you install a diff ver. of windows over an old one? lol ok thats part speculation

Use the xp disk and do the repair option.

Argh, you better off reinstalling the whole Windows, since other methods might give unwantted effects.

Well if you are overclocked then i would find a new stable overclock. However once you get into Windows i would insert your Windows Disk and do a an upgrade install ( Repair ) and this will replace any missing or damaged DLL files.
