Default Windows hack

Is there a way to make it so Windows does not spin up the CD drive each time you open a menu with the CD drive as an option? Most of the time, I am not looking for somthing in my CD drive, so it would save time if Windows only spun it up when I clicked on it.

I use this

Run - regedit to show The registry editor - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services / CDROM and Change "Autorun" to 0

That stops it for me

Theoretically you can go to my computer, right click the dvd/cd drive, go to properties, and select the autorun function for each file type (2nd tab). . . i know you can but for some reason i think mine reverts to norm (or i may be thinking of different installs/comp lol)

I hate it when It does that. I've got 2 attached to this laptop, and the internal one, and whenever I go into My Computer it runs ALL of them, not just seeks. I've tried that autorun thing, and it doesn't do jack for that problem.
