Overclocker
|
Ok basicaly today i have been trying to create a really really cut down version of windows xp with nothing but the drivers i need and DirectX (i wish to replace IE with firefox etc) anyway i need this os to be fast. Does anyone know a way to get rid of all the stuff i dont need. I tryed Windows xp fundementals for legency pcs (could they think of a longer name) and it was exactly what i needed but unfortunatly it though directx was already installed when it was missing half the dlls. I tryed a reinstall etc and it just didnt work. Basicaly im fed up of having to work around all this rubbish in my os that i dont use and want to remove it and use teh software i want and speed.
Any ideas Squeeky

Sorr, I can't help you with that aspect but BlackViper can fill you in on what to enable/disable via the "services.msc"
