Default Freezing and Slow
I have been having a problem with my work computer after I come back from the weekend. It will be slow at times when opening "my computer" and the entire system freezes for 10 seconds and then returns to normal. I have done numerous spyware, keylogger, virus scans with all different programs. I ran a hijackthis log hoping someone can make sense of it. Before when this happened I had a IE third party extension that was making things run slow, but now I am beginning to believe it is a hardware issue.

Run some very intensive scans for a Virus/Spyware. Also what you describe can also be a driver issue...Try updating the Chipset drivers if at all possible.

Have you also defragged your HDD ?

Thank you for the replies.

i was somewhat suspect of that process as well. I will do more intensive scans. I have not been able to do that intense of a scan being that I do have to get some work done

I do believe that these problems stem from me switching my hard drive from my previous system that had a blown power supply to a new but similar system (both were HPs using the same chipset). Then I just reactivated windows and went from there. I'll see if i can find some drivers for this chipset online.

TURN OFF INDEXING SERVICE...and check your taskmanager at start up...
