Its the DPMS method inbuilt on the drivers which control when your monitors go onto standby. You can also change such things in the BIOS.

Also it is changing resolution. It does it to me but for 1 sec because I have an lcd. The warm up rates are faster on lcd

Uh... I doubt it, my bios consists of like nothing to change haha. If I can, TELL HOW! Faq or something? Ahhh! It never did this on XP!

Does it also do it to you when the User Account Control screen pops up?
__________________The UAC screen pops up everytime you want to install or run something. If so then it will most likely stay like that. I had that problem when I had a CRT, but then I upgraded to this WideScreen LCD, which is much better, and in a sense, more compatible with Vista.
