Hello I just installed a Sound Blaster SB0090 sound card. The thing is that I can't seem to get any sound. I took a screenie of my device manager so that someone maybe able to help me trouble shoot the situation. I have to go to work soon so the sooner the better but I appreciate all the help I can get.

No and its because I am not exactly sure which to DL there is a lot to choose from. I trade a couple Hdd's for it and there was no factory packaging. The PCB says Soundblaster Audigy SB1394 EAX Advanced HD Model SB0900. I can't seem to find it in the link you gave me
. I do seem to have all the components to the card installed.

Ok I was running the platinum EX series of drivers I think I disabled the on board sound when I tested the card for a few days...So I don't know if that is needed or not I rarely use a sound card
Link that is what pulls up and the same ones I ran So it may be a bios tweak ![]() Also another culprit might be the fact of other sound drivers in your system ie...the mobo on board sound drivers ~~edit~~ one more thing I had no sound until I went in and set up the speakers in the creative control center...You have to go in and set up your sound system...it runs some kind of Auto detect

Alrighty I will tinker around a bit more and see what I can come up with. The crazy thing is the window DM says that its there, drivers are installed, and the device is working properly. In the control panal it doesn't show me any audio devices.
EDIT: I got er working guys. What I did was disable the SB0090 SC and enabled onboard in the DM. I then restarted and I had sound (onboard). I then went back into DM and disable onboard and then re-enabled the SB 0090 SC. When I restarted tad ah everything works . Thanks for all the fellas that tried to help, and TY Dotcom for the great deal.
