Really Need HELP!!! :(
i'm having problems with my new comp.. when i boot up, in the welcome screen it pop an error says "lsass.exe - System Error" then "Security accounts manager initialization failed because of the following error : A device attached to the system is not functioning. Error status: 0xc0000001. Please click OK to shutdown the system and reboot into safe mode, check the event log for some detailed information" then i followed the instruction to reboot into safe mode but then again in the welcome screen this error come out again... any idea? i'm so pissed with my comp.

i had no idea if it is virus or not... dammit... should i reinstall fresh copy of windows XP?

If you're talking about having this problem on a fresh install on a new build, then HELL yes I'd reinstall.
Did you install the OS with the system running an unverified overclock? If so, you might have corrupted the OS during install. Try installing at stock clock rates & see if you have probs after that.

is this a new system you just built or has it been running for a while.you could try to run the recovery console just boot to your xp disk press r at the first screen then once you are into the console selct your hard drive with your os on it then type chkdsk and see what error it gives you.

alrite.. but i try to repair windows first...
__________________ btw, what is the best antivirus and anti-spyware? maybe my comp got attacked coz i never install antivirus nor anti spyware plus i didnt turn on my firewall coz if i turned on my firewall i cant host in bnet warcraft... :-(
