Default Norton Sucks
so someone (for the purpose of civility in our marriage, she shall remain nameless and therefore...blameless) in my house decided it would be a good idea to put norton anti virus on my system. now, i cant uninstall the whole thing. do i need to reboot in safe mode or something... any suggestions?

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/U...val-Tool.shtml yes use this and for future reference use avast home edition its free and so so so so much better than norton http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html its actually finds viruses and does not use all your resources

get AVG free. Doesnt slow down the comp at all compared to norton and works great!

Do NOT use anything other than the Norton uninstaller. I used a program that rips Norton out by the roots and completely fubarred my wife's Dell.
