Default Vista + dual video cards

So us engineers at the U got a Vista Business download the other day. My buddy down the hallway has a computer with 2 7600GS's, that he uses to run his 4 LCDs. However, in Vista, it will only run one video card. The other one has the error, and 'not enough resources to run this component'. ***? SLI is not turned on, and the newest nVidia drivers have been installed. My only thought is that it is motherboard drivers, which ASUS does not have Vista drivers for his board yet. Any other suggestions on what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance.

He isnt running them in SLI, dude.

Have you checked to make sure there isnt a resource conflict? Its possible that Vista is trying to assign them the same IRQ's and what not.

I'll have to take a look at that. How do you check the IRQ's?

Sorry dude, I'll refrase - Nvidia has not released a Dual Card Solution Driver yet. I am unable to get my two cards to run (in SLI or not) together, one must be disabled. Nividia have advised by email that until an SLI Forceware driver is released that this will most likely not work, however some configurations may.

If the Board is an NF4 chipset then Vista comes prepacked with a working version of Drivers - however of course that doesn't mean they work well.

When do you think the drivers for SLI will be released. I just got Vista from Georgia Tech and I was pissed that they didn't support sli yet!
I am going to email nvidia for the info
