Default The Bottom Line on Vista

I have two computers. I want Vista. If I buy an OEM version of it, will I be able to install it on both of my computers or will I have to get the retail version? Please provide links if possible. Thanks.

If you want Windows Vista on Two Computers at the same time, you need to have Two Copies of Windows Vista. It does not matter if it's OEM or Retail. With one copy of either you can transfer from one computer to another, but you must, first, wipe it off of the Original Computer.

So, if you have 1 Copy of Vista, you can only have it on 1 Computer. You have 2 Copies of Vista, then you can have it on 2. The only difference in OEM and Retail is that Retail comes with a Box, Manual, and a better Warranty.

You asked for the bottom line on Vista like this was some kind of change.

What was described in post 2 has been the way things have been ever since the first copy of windows in the 1980s. Vista didn't change any of that.

Not that I am defending microsoft, but this isn't new news. And how do you where their break even point is? We have no idea what their development and production costs were.

What we do know is they are a public corporation that is responsible to its stock holders like any other public corporation. They are in business to make money. They are not in business to procide free software. If that is what you want, get Linux and be done with it.
