Post Vista HP to Ultimate

We all know that Vista is coming out shortly, and some intend to install this OS ASAP. I wonder can I install clean version of Vista Home Premium Standard Version now, then later on upgrade to Vista Ultimate via the Upgrade version. Ne1 got any idea?

i honestly have no idea, but why would you get premium now then upgrade to ultimate later? it doesnt make any sense. just get ultimate now, its only 80 bucks more.

Yes its all done though the Microsoft Marketplace. Not sure about the cost though. I would guess in the $100 range. But you basically just get the new cd key, and use the Vista Home Premium dvd to install the extra Ultimate features.

To go from HP to Ultimate is $160. I just checked it. I think you'll find after installing HP though that it's all you need. Perhaps not though.

Anyway, yeah using the Anytime Upgrade in the control panel directs you to 3rd party sites like Best Buy and Lenovo that sell the upgrade. Most were 160, but some were 170 so make sure you check a few to get a good price
