Lightbulb Can i install WinXP Pro ontop of Home? Or windows Vista ontop of Home?

If i can installl WinXP Pro ontop of my Home edition, will i still have all of my stuff? I don't wanna re-install everything.. meh i got like 24GB of cs maps hell naw im not getting a new HDD

Also, what makes Pro better than Home edition? i heard that pro, you can take advantage of dual core procs and apps that support it or whatever.. this true?

Yep, just put the disc in and it will ask what partition to format over. You won't lose any data, but just make sure to back everything up to avoid any hassles if a problem does occur.

Pro also has better networking features/capabilities and built-in encryption technology for encrypting your files. Home doesn't support it.

If you choose Upgrade Install yes you will keep all your Files. All that is changesd is the OS files and Settings.
