Exclamation Sound and Networking Problems

I installed the NForce4 ethernet and audio drivers for my motherboard on a fresh OS several times today. I could use the sound (with Realtek software), but that stopped after I restarted my computer. I never could get the ethernet to work.

I can still access the files for everything else I installed.

Does anyone have any ideas at all on what I can do to fix this? It's driving me absolutely crazy.

On a side note, does anyone know how to change the volume of individual speakers?

Thanks a million and a half.

Well, im not all that great with Ethernet but i'll help on your sound problem...

You need to check the settings in the sound options, usually when you install it you'll have to restart the computer and it will set all of you sound options to "Default" settings hence it might have turned something off.

And for the tuning your speakers to seperate volume you can, easily done...

-Double click on your "Sounds and Audio Devices"
-When it opens on the Volume tab (the first one) look on the bottom and you'll see Speaker volume, there you go...

hope that helps...

@DeeJay--I'll look at that, thanks. I've just never had problems with that before.

@Bitemarks and Bloodstains--Yes I did, I take it that was a mistake, and uninstalling it should help?

EDIT: Default sound device is Realtek AC97 audio after a reboot, and it still doesn't work.
