i recently bought a copy of xp pro, and filled out the online application form for an upgrade to windows vista business edition. upon filling it out, i received a pretty vague conformation email - in one part it says that i need to send them a fax, mail, or scan of my proof of purchase, and in another part it says that i dont need to with my upgrade redemption form. i know there are a bunch of people who have done this sucessfully, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

and to answer your question, for your upgrade redemption form to go through, you need to send/scan/fax your proof of purchase or whatever..

I think basically, what they mean, is that you have 2 forms, one form will be online, and will authentificate with your XP CD Key, or, you will have to scan the UPC Bar Code and send it to them. I think it's how it works, but don't take my word for granted because I've never beem into this process.
