Some, not a major increase. But you will see a few things mostly just programs that are 64-bit apps.

I have been running 64 bit windows XP for about 3/4 of a year now and I love the speed that it allows me to run my applications. In 32 bit mode the program reverts to 32 bit but when you take programs to 64 bit mode the system is able to do alot more numerical integrations which equals out to a faster running speed. I give this program two thumbs up for security saftey and reliability because this to me is the most stable and best operating system that Microsoft has put out to date.

I dunno why you think Vista looks crap. I've been using it a while and it's certainly better than XP.

basically the same.. Just install them like normal. I've been running it for a couple weeks now and the only problem I've gotten is that I can't find the driver for my wirless card.
