Default Should I run vista tomorrow or xp? x-fi problem

I am getting my mobo tomorrow and am wondering if I should run vista or xp. I like vista and all but I cant seem to get my x-fi to work right under it. When I install the vista x-fi package it works ok, but I don't see the audio console or "console launcher" i believe it was. Without that I don't know of a way to make the flex jack, a mic jack lol :/ If anyone has any other way to do it please let me know

Truth be told. I'd stick with Xp. It'll solve your problem of having issues with your X-Fi. And it just seems to be in general, more solid than Vista ATM.

Honestly run both. I love the crap out of Vista but sometimes it does these crappy little things to me and I need my alone time in XP with it's stupid little fold-out programs menu and silly non-transparent whistler theme.

Vista FTW. Basic driver support is out and works fine. Vista is also alot faster than XP i have found.

However there are some things to be ironed out. I would reccomend an XP/Vista dual boot.

Yes Frozen, you'd have no problems other than the fact you'd be using Beta drivers for that XiFi and the 7950 (which isn't all that bad but some games...woah)

well you can always dual boot. i plan on having Vista, XP, and either Ubuntu or SUSE to choose from.

just switch to XP when you hit problems with Vista.
