Default Vista problems yet again..

For some reason, I can't watch any videos I download. I use VLC, so lack of a codec should not be a problem. I can see videos on youtube, so what's the problem?

.. so .. lets start off by asking.. what kinda of video are you trying to watch.. and have you tried them in media player or winamp.. i havnt had an issue with codecs yet.. in fact media player has played everything for me right out of the box so has vlc and winamp..

I got it to work. I just had to change the video output on VLC to OpenGl.
