Copy paste this into notepad, that you'll then save it as filename.bat (filename is up to you) :

Code:
cd "D:\Program Files"
start xfire.exe
cd "D:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\johnthebaptist_69"
start coun ter-strike source.exe
Uh, are you sure the name of the exe is cou nter-strike source.exe ? not counter-strike source.exe ?

Anyway, if it is wrong, just change it in the code

bat files are awesome... I used to send some bat files to n00bs via msn that would shut their system down ! That was so

I, of course, told them how to stop the countdown... I'm too nice

I could make a bat file but I don't think those directories are right and the file names look botched. I fixed them to what I think was right though I don't know about CSS.

and it'd be:
Code:
cd "D:\Program Files\Xfire"
start xfire.exe
cd "D:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\johnthebaptist_69"
start counte~1.exe
You see batch files don't support file names with spaces so you'd have to use the 8.3 format. Assuming the directories I edited it to are now correct the attached bat file should work. Drop it in a folder somewhere, make a shortcut to it and give it a cool icon

I used to make really complex bat files back in the day. You can have them even run at startup and determine which game to load if you like to play different games on different days. These were actually my intro into the world of programming.

You can write timers in, set the directory to save information to, even call secondary and tertiary .bat files dependent on user input if you like. It was very useful back in the days of DOS and still is today actually.

I wrote a 214 line bat file that called 10 seperate bat files to do anything from start games to opening word processors and such for my grandma who didn't know what dos commands where but she could certainly choose things from a list of numbers. I added it to the autoexec.bat :P

Then she got Windows 3.1 and man that was some crazy times... Now that I think about it.
