Alrighty then, download winPE from MS... http://oem.microsoft.com/downloads/w...x86fre_opk.zip

To deploy a custom image from a network share

1.

On your destination computer, insert your Windows PE media and restart the computer. Windows PE starts and launches a command-line window
2.

Use the diskpart command to format the hard drive to reflect the required disk configuration. For example, from Windows PE Command Prompt, type the following commands:

diskpart

select disk 0

clean

create partition primary size=20000

select partition 1

active

format

exit
3.

Copy the image from the network share to your local hard drive. For example, type the following commands and provide network credentials for appropriate network access:

net use Y: \\network_share\Images

copy Y:\Myimage.wim c:
4.

Apply the image to the hard drive using ImageX located on your Windows PE media. For example, from the Windows PE command prompt, type: D:\Tools\Imagex.exe /apply C:\Myimage.wim c:
5.

Your custom image is now deployed onto your destination computer. The computer is ready for customer delivery. You can repeat the previous steps for each additional machine you want to ship.

you'd think if you could afford 180 bucks for all of your machines, you could afford an 18 dollar DVD-ROM...

Default See this is why most IT people are *******s

When they see someone who doesn't have a lot of IT knowledge, they like to give complicated answers and call them easy... Lineerror, just point the dude to Ghost or Acronis and stop being a dick. I'm in IT too and people like you make us look bad. Yes, you can use microsofts tool. No, it's not the easiest thing to do for someone who doesn't work on computers all day.

Ok, you may defend yourself now, but you're still an ass.

2007 bump?

And... it's not that simple to do a install over network... and if you have no networking experience and can't be bothered to learn a bit yourself..... then you're way over your head.

Basically, RTFM.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular
