Default Vista won't show my Hard Drive...

So I took the 250gb HDD out of my linux box to use a storage drive for my main rig(currently only 160gb). After physically installing it, the drive does not show under "My computer". Yet I was able to Format it via a 3rd party program, and it is even shown in device manager. I have tried to "Automatically" update the driver and still no go. Anyone have any ideas? I originally had this PC setup on dual boot with the same exact HDD's and I was able to "see" both the drives.

Go to Disk Management and enable there.

XP and Vista require the drive to be formatted before it'll mount it. A few of the drives I've seen from 2000 are hit and miss but it should work fine after you format it in Disk Management.

What format is it formated in? Use the 3rd party to format it in NTFS.

I don't think it's so much the format it's in as what Vista/XP write to it. If it doesn't see it's stuff there it gets picky.
