Every time i download an *.exe it ends up corrupt and *.zip files won't extract *.exe files of the *.exe file just won't load at all? This is making me angry. Its a fresh install of windows xp pro so I don't understand this. Can anyone help???

It does it for every file. I dont feel like trying to list them all...latest files were super pi , flashbios for my mobo, and fold at home SMP

now i tried to install the fold install that i had on my thumb drive....not smp and it gets a core download error after the download is finished?

Yes I had to update windows before my school would let me on the server...which is not the problem cause everything works fine on my laptop.

Sounds like Windows may be trying to open the files with another program.

what other program can u load an exe with it says that it is an install file and everything....even zip files wont extract exe files

What Browser are you using? Assuming its IE6 try updating it via Windows Update. Maybe you can download Firefox elsewhere and transfer it on your computer and try that.
