Default Windows Vista 64 Bit Hardware BSOD Nightmare

I've been trying to install Vista 64Bit for many days now with no luck. I've been getting all types of bluescreens while installing. Off the top of my head I can remember 0x9c and 0x124. Since I've been getting these bluescreens I've been frequenting these forums. I think I've tried everything. I've tried going into the BIOS and disabling pretty much anything that didn't have anything to do with the computer actually functioning including my USB mouse among other BIOS settings I've tried to configure. I've also flashed my BIOS with the latest 1/15/2007 BIOS version. I've tried using different DVD drives and hard drives with no luck. I've even purchased new Kingston DDR2 533Mhz ram. If anyone can please look into my issue and shed some light on this I'd really appreciate it.

My hardware specs:
Kingston 1GB 533Mhz ram
Maxtor 80Gb Hard drive (4R080LO)
Intel Dual Core 3.0 GHZ
PC Chips P23G MOBO with new BIOS updates
512 Mb ATI Radeon 1650 Pro AGP with new Vista drivers on CD (which I always remove during instillation)

Do you possibly have the 32-bit disc to just see if that works?

I had some issues like this but it was caused with trying to install vista with 4GB of ram installed.

Is this a new build, are you sure the BSODs arnt caused by overheating or just faulty hardware?

None of my hardware is faulty.
I had no problems installing Vista 32 bit at all. I'm running Vista 32 Bit right now.
As far as the build goes, does that really matter?

Full install.
You cant install an upgrade of 64 Bit from a 32 Bit operating system so this is a clean install version.

Not to thread jack, but since i'm planning on going to vista premium 64 bit soon, i was wondering if the Windows Vista Upgrade advisor would accurately predict problems.

I just tried it and no serious problems are listed *just a few out dated drivers and useless programs* so i'm hoping i'll be fine.

I'm seriously out of ideas.. To get vista to install for me it was a week of nightmare on MS support lines until I finally found the fix (a manual windows update for 4GB of ram).

All I think of is calling them, If your computer works fine in XP and Vista 32-bit and not 64-bit then its probably something with vista x64 in general. Unless somehow your processor is faulty with only 64-bit.

I hope someone can help you.

The 0x00000124 happens to me and nothing I've tried has fixed it. It occured most frequently for me when I'm either converting audio files, watching flashes or playing a game for a while. I thought it was one of my drivers but after a fresh install with a different copy of Windows Vista, I got the BSOD immediately after the setup was complete.

I hope Microsoft fixes this soon because I know of others who are getting this error as well

Wait, so how did you implement this fix if you were doing a clean install?

Are you positive your vista disk is good?

Also just for fun, try taking sound and/or network cards out if you have them, as they are the biggies on driver problems (besides video, but you really can't take that out can you? maybe try replacement if you have.)
