What causes this? Sometimes this happens after awhile until I reformat again. It's gets annoying because for some reason it's blue. The files on my storage drive don't do this. How can I get rid of this?

I think it has to do something with encryption or compression. Tell me if this works.
Tools>Folder Options> View Tab then scroll down and see if "Show encrypted or compresssed NTFS files in color" is checked.

It annoys me as well. Luckily I just reformatted, so I haven't seen it yet.
