Default Windows XP freezes during install
For some reason windows XP freezes when I'm trying to install it. Most of the time I can't get past the "Press enter to install windows" screen, but even if by luck I do, I freezes again at another time. I've seen one interesting thing though, it seems that my keyboard's lights will flicker before it freezes, (Yes, I've tried other keyboards)

try to repalce a memory or change it of slot, its the most often error when installing and freeze, if the problem still there, HD, Mobo, cpu

I've tried different hard drives, reduced RAM, different CD/DVD drives, different PSUs, and different IDE cables.

Here's what happens:
  1. Boot from CD
  2. Press Enter to setup Windows screen
  3. Keyboard lights flicker
  4. CD/DVD drive stops spinning
  5. Computer freezes

It tends to freeze during screens that have to do with hard drives.
