Cleared CMOS and now my OS isn't activated

So I needed to clear my cmos from a oc ram crash
__________________![]() Once I did, half way through windows booting I get a "This Copy of Windows is not activated, Your trial is up, please purchase retail copy" The thing is - Before i cleared cmos it was a fully liecenced version of x64 Windows I got for beta testing ![]() It wont let me load in safe mode and doesnt give me the option to enter my key again What the ???? Is there anything I can do to save my files - Or do I need to format Thanks

If you just wanna get yer files off, put the HDD in a different computer and take the stuff you need off of it. (Boot off the other computers HDD, and use your HDD as a secondary.)
Call up M$ if you still wanna use the OS.

Well if you can get another OS installed on another HDD you may be able to access the HDD with WIN64 on and save your files

Go into your bios and reset the system date. Sometimes that will fix that.

hey, they exact same thing happened to me on vista 32 bit. i had a failed overclock and reset the cmos. booted up windows and it said activate windows within 3 days blah blah blah.... i tried to register the product key again but it wouldn't let me. so i called up microsoft and did the phone activation and they gave me a new key.
