Does this actually do anything? I ran atto disk bench and the scores seem to be lower (with the exception of some reading) with it on, unless im reading it wrong

I enabled it as well, but I thought it was just write caching or something similar. I didn't run any benchmarks to compare before/after but I can't see why it would be slower. Is the drive fragmented or in need of cleaning?

This is with the option enabled.
![]() This is with the option disabled. ![]() I ran this test on my 80 gig IDE because I'm currently backing up 50ish gigs of stuff across the network on my SATA drive. It's odd though, mine is faster with it disabled as well. I guess I'm going to keep it turned off and disable it on my other drive as well. I have no idea why it is backwards like this.
