1. For now stay on xp. When vista will have better drivers you can change to it.
2. Stay on vista and enjoy Crysis that are coming soooon.

go back to XP, in a future change to vista
but now is no neccesary to have Vista, wait for DX10 Games, and software-driver improvement for vista

FPS knock offs shouldn't be too much of a problem for your rig, it isnt for mine.
i do have a lower fps in games but its still considered high... Keep Vista. you will have to go back to it anyways and you will still have the same FPS knockoffs

Well with the new Vista drivers, you can't adjust the fan speed in Nvidia CP, and that's a problem for someone with an uber-clocked card.

You will experience FPS drops in Windows XP X64 unless the game is 64 bit (like farcry, hl2, UT2k4...). Games I run that are 32 bit run well, but seem to run slightly faster on 32-bit OS...but the 64 bit games are VERY nice.
Stick with Vista if you have it.

Stay on vista. XP 64 bits is like.. discontinued?
You could try dual booting too!
