I'm getting Vista Ultimate, got a hookup through my cousin
![]() Just wondeirng, since XP 64bit was such a bummer should I get the 64 bit of Vista ultimate or just stick iwth 32bit?

You buy the 32 and can order the 64 for like $5 shipping. Then decide!
Generally the 32 will have more support but the 64 can use over 3GB of RAM! Other than that they're identical.

Well I have 2gb, so the added ram isn't a big feature.
Just go 32bit?

Well I'd go with the 64bit myself, I've never had a problem getting drivers for 64bit

32-bit Windows has access to 3.5GB RAM, not 3GB. I found that 64-bit support is decent for Vista. You may have issues with network card drivers or small accessories. 64-bit Vista also has a slightly stricter rules about driver signing.

It doesn't like drivers that MS hasn't approved, which means most modded drivers. You can disable this however.
I've had NO compatibility problems with x64 XP or Vista in the past few months, I think it's fine to go x64 now.

I use stock drivers anyway, didnt notice a difference.
