MINI FAQ ON TROUBLESHOOTING BSOD'S
Seeing as many people get BSOD, heres a little FAQ Ive wrote thousand of times in posts. Hope this helps!a nd looking forward to have this moved to FAQS. First, what is a BSOD? Quote:
If you have uninstalled recent hardware, Windows might still got the leftovers of these uninstallations. Right click my Computer, Properties > Hardware > Device Manager; then press view and click on Hidden Devices. If theres a device with a Caution sign on it, remove it. This means that this hardware is not being used but windows tries to load it still. You could also try another thing: Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer. Press System and check if there's an error somewhere; if there is d.click the event and see if it comes with a solution. If you want to check what BSOD you're getting do the following: Right Click My Computer > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings. Below System Failure, uncheck Automatically Restart. The next time you will see the BSOD, write down the info shown on it and then google it for a possible solution. For example, you get a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD, you copy that in a sheet of paper and google it and I'm sure you will find a solution right away. EXTRA If you feel like fooling your friends, here is a little Screensaver from the hand of Microsoft. Click >> BSOD Screen Saver Anything, feel free to ask!
