Default Suspicious SVCHOST.EXE

Ok i'm suspicious of a SVCHOST on my system. It's taking up more mem than explorer.exe and my computer is getting slower by the day, I ran an antivir virus scan but to no avail. Do you think it's dodgy or not? any help greatly appreciated

Go here, download the scan tool, and run it. It'll tell you anything wrong with your processes.

SVCHOST.exe is not a virus or any such thing. SCVHOST.exe on the other hand is. SCVHOST is designed to look like svchost, but it will cause problems. If you see SVC Host, then don't try to end it, that may cause issues. If you see SCV host, your virus scanner is likely to pick it up, but if it doesn't then end it yourself.

Try Security task manager
http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/

it tells you the warning rating of the task, you can quarantine processes too

its a nice program to find the nasty's on your computer.
