Default Getting an error message

I'm trying to install C&C Tiberium Wars and I keep getting this.

Error message: "Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data.Cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package"

Now this is a new system and i'm still working a few bugs out. The game installed fine last time using the same DVDR drive on my other computer so I know they are both good.

If its a scratched CD it might be worth a try getting alcohol 120% and try to install from an image... its worked for me in the past.

Not saying you're a pirate but the only time Ive had those kinds of problems is when I was downloading and burning games to a cd. In which case I would sometimes get corrupt .cab files when downloading. There is a price for everything I guess. If you didnt do that then Id say make sure you have a good cable connection and all that business. Try it from an external USB drive if you have the means. And maybe try it from a whole different computer all together. Your first step in troubleshooting needs to be determining what is failing. Is it the disk? Disk Drive? IDE cable? Motherboard? RAM? Windows Installation? Maybe a new windows update?? You get the idea...
