Having problems with Vista Ultimate.
__________________1.) My graphics drivers don't seem to install correctly they work alright it seems but in the nvidia control panel I have no option for scaling which is the reason why I installed vista as it worked before and doesn't at all work in xp. I have some anomalys in oblivion ( I think it may be due to mods ) but then again I seemed to have some in Chronicles of Riddick as well. It's like some textures are replaced by a black color or flicker on parts of the models. 2.) Another thing is that ingame sound doesn't always seem to work the music plays fine but some sounds may work for a bit and then cut out or just not work at all (voices or voiceovers don't work at all) in games like oblivion , hitman bloodmoney , and chronicles of riddick. I installed the realtek drivers so that I could use my front case audio jack for my headphones. Vista said it wasn't compatible with the drivers but I couldn't find a high def realtek driver for vista... only the AC'97 pack. 3.) I have a pci firewire card and have an external dvd drive hooked to it via firewire. Vista has no problems picking it up but sometimes it won't work and doesn't show up and in device manager puts a exclamation point by it. I can fix it by uninstalling it and restarting and reinstalling it but have no clue why it keeps doing it. Anyone have any suggestions?

All seem like drivers problems to me.
1. Uninstall all old drivers, then use DriverCleaner to delete what's left.(don't forget to restart first.) 2. Download newest drivers and install them. 3. For your HDD, use USb..why do you use FireWire?

Yep tried that I have tried different nvidia drivers the latest ones from guru3d 160.04 are my current ones and I have tried the latest ones from Nvidias site as well as the Xtreme-g's. I used drivercleaner each time.

I installed it through xp onto a different partition that already had files on it. So not an upgrade and not really technically a clean install. I dualboot both xp and vista.

Finnally found a realtek vista driver and now even supreme commander has sound so that was surprising. However I still have no options for image scaling.
