Default Uhhh Why did I have to reactivate windows?

Um Well i tried to restart my computer and it kind of just was restarting slowly so I pushed the restart button on front of my computer instead.

When I rebooted I got a message telling me I have 3 days to reactivate windows because of significant hardware changes. The only hardware changes I have made to this computer was changing the processor in December when I built the computer in august of 06. No other changes have been made at all.

I just clicked the "reactivate through internet" in the system tools thing and it worked, but why did it make me do this?

That's really weird, because the exact same thing happened to me two days ago... All I did was turn off a SATA/RAID controller in BIOS and when I booted up my PC, Windows informed me that there had been "significant hardware changes" and that I needed to reactivate within three days... I reactivated over the Internet right away and all was well, but it is pretty odd...

Oh well.
