Well, my dad has given me a laptop which he got from his old job (it was in the leaving clause) and it is full of loads and loads of junk. I want to completely wipe it but I do not have the xp pro cd disk to do a fresh install. How do I do this?
Laptop is Lenovo ThinkPad T60 running xp pro. Cheers ![]()

Well basically go into the program manager and Uninstall everything, make sure to select any options to delete the program settings etc. After doing that find a registry cleaner to get rid of anything the uninstall may have left behind. Then you may want to just go through the hard drive looking for files/folders that don't relate directly to the OS. Program files, documents and settings and windows folder you have to be careful deleting stuff in.
