So basically, I've not been following the news with Vista lately, I have a few questions:
-Is DirectX10 officially released for Windows Vista?
-Is it available for download?
-If yes, does your old DX9 games still work since you installed DX10?

Microsoft calls DX10 Direct3D 10

Direct3D 10 (DX10) comes with Vista, it's part of the OS.
It should be on Vista already.
Direct3D 10 (DX10) is fully backwards compatible with DirectX 9

I'm going to second this exact statement.

I would also like to add something about running applications and games for anyone else reading this, it's not Vista's fault if your stuff doesn't work or is sluggish...check your hardware first of all and then try running programs that are actually built and optimized for Vista.
