Nice guide!
You should also add into the 32-bit and 64-bit differences section:

The biggest difference between 64-bit and 32-bit processors is that 64-bit processors have a larger address space. That is, they have the ability to communicate directly with more memory. A 32-bit processor can directly address a maximum of 4 gigabytes (GB) of memory minus the total video memory in the system. While 64-bit processors goes up to 16EB.

lolz, I think Intel P45 support up to 16GB of ram. But c'mon, IMO, 4GB is an overkill already.

i wouldnt say its overkill as i quite often fill a good 85% of my 4gb.

you should add a section for 64bit apps and software to the op with links

4GB is not overkill, I use 8 daily at the office and really need to upgrade at the house...

We have a machine up here at work with 32gb of ram...

Good 64bit post, I have the privilege of working in software which supports 64bit, and let me tell you, there is a HUGE difference between 32/64!
