so i seem to have this minor annoyance in windows. when i mouse over one of the icons in the task bar (bottom right, near time) and the tool tip or whatever it is called pops up, it shows up behind the start bar and behind any windows that would be over it. now it doesn't do this all the time, but its been doing it all day now and its really bugging me, is there any way to get rid of this?

I have that happen when I roll over the date and time. They are supposed to pop up and sometimes they do and sometimes they are behind the task bar. I've never found a way to fix it.

Go into Control panel. Then go to ''Taskbar and start menu'' Within here usually on the first tabe you need to locate and option called ''keep the taskbar ontop of other windows'' you need to remove the tick from the box next to it and hit apply and ok.

If this doesn work right click on your taskbar and click on ''lock taskbar'' this should unlock it. The Do the same again but lock it this time.

This may sort it.

yeah, i found that but then if i maximize a window, it covers up my start bar which i don't like.
