Default Check Disc Question

I have a question about the chkdsk on this computer. It's say's that chkdsk is scheduled to run on D but I have not scheduled it to run at all. After rebooting and letting chkdsk run all the way through it still come up with chkdsk is scheduled to run on D. This is preventing me to be able to defragment that partion and is also causeing a few other issues because of it. I know there is a way to manually undo it but cant remember the steps in command prompt.

Go to the registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager

Look for the REG_MULTI_SZ value with the following name:

BootExecute

This value contains commands that will be executed at startup.

The default value is:

autocheck autochk *

After scheduling one or more chkdsks, the entry will contain one or more autochk lines. Delete each of these lines and put the default one in place.

If you always want a check to be performedf at startup, change the value to:

autocheck autochk /f *

If you don't want any checks to be performed, delete all autocheck entries.
