So i had Vista and Ubuntu installed. Linux messed up for no apparent reason, i hadnt used it in awhile, just decided it didnt want to boot anymore after neglect i guess. So after getting pissed off at the nvlddmkm error with my videocard and vista, i installed xp pro 64bit (only select people get the error, RMAing the card seemed to help a lot of people, but i gotta wait till they drop in price so i can just step-up because im cheap like that). That went well, but i couldnt get back to Vista. I figured if i repaired Vista it would set the bootloader... nope. Then only Vista would boot up. I tried recovery with xp pro and tried fixmbr, nothing. Tried fixboot, then xp booted up.
How the hell do i get that Vista bootloader that i have had before. Either that or some other type of bootloader. Thanks.

I thought about GRUB, but i cant find where to download (on the site i click download, and there isnt anything to download, just text) or how to install it. I looked all over their site and different links. Maybe im just blind, i dunno.
I tried the repair boot function on the vista dvd. It got Vista to boot, but no bootloader.

Problem solved!
http://apcmag.com/5485/dualbooting_v...d_xp#restoring Much easier than GRUB. About as simple as you can get.
