XP 64 bit anti virus
Hi all im trying to finad a free av that will work on xp 64 bit. Avg wont work and I tried avast home that is free, but no dice. Avg wont install and avast just freezes the comp up. What is free with x64 support?

Avg states that some 64 component couldnt be initialized and installation had to hault. Thanks Ill try antivir and report back, Im currently also seeking out drivers for my wireless card. Found some that should work, but my downloads are so slow.

get internet download manager i will beef up the speeds alot sssss.
__________________mininova download with something neetie extra's, installing needs a reboot of your pc tho.

Ok finally got the wireless adapter to work and antivir is downloading. It dosnt list 64bit support but Ill try it when its done. Anyways next queastion, a spyware scanner, I tried spybot s and d and when I try to open it it instantly rebopots my comp. Wow now I realise the headaches everyone was on about with xp 64. So any suggestions guys?

Sorry for the premature bump, but Im in serious need of help. I am currently running no anti virus software, as antivir wouldnt work either. Please guys Im on my knees seeking advice here.

avast home edition should work. It's working for me on Vista x64.
