Default problem with computer

i have a problem that i have no idea what is causing it. I will start up my computer (a Hp a1140n) and it will run just fine, then after approx. 3-4 hours use, it will start to slow up tremondusly. enough that i get annoyed and restart. the weird thing though is that when i restart its fine again. Im stuck on this one. anyone know whats the problem?

when it starts to slow down, have you looked at the cpu usage in task manager?

run a spyware check too

Maybe the cpu is just overheating. If you can, find the program eating all the cpu usage in task manager and end it. If its windows explorer, you can restart it by pressing windows key + r to bring up the run menu, then type "explorer"
