Default sounds, audio devies

I got some new headphones from that club.live game thing, the Microsoft lx3000. I cant seem to get them to work. Reason i post is here is because of a windows error that i get while trying to get them to work.
When i go to control panel, sounds speech and audio devices, and click on sounds and audio devices, i get this error

Running xp pro
