Default Dual core hotfix still needed?

Hey.

Is the dual core hotfix needed for Intel CPU's? I mean, the latest update came out in december 2006. Haven't the windows updates fixed that one yet?

Also wondering about the Nvidia dual core driver optimization. Is that worth looking into?

Interesting, i have a quad so i don't know if i should do any dual core patching.... Surely if they were that good then they would have come in the automatic updates.

I think its a "multicore" hotfix, not specifically a dualcore fix.

Thinking maybe that the lack of this hotfix is causing my games to freeze sometimes. Either that or i have overclocked my graphics card to much. no artifacts though.
